JOB SUMMARY
The VP of Association Services (EVP of Association Management) plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of the organization’s major events, committees, and board activities. This role is also pivotal in driving the association’s mission to support and advance the real estate profession while fostering member engagement, advocacy, and professional development.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Events and programs executed on time and within budget
- YoY increase in attendance at key association events
- Committee initiatives completed successfully
- YoY increase in non-dues revenue from events, sponsorships, and educational programs
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide association and staff oversight, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational excellence.
- Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of all association events, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with member expectations and association goals.
- Take ownership of and attend all committee and board meetings, ensuring proper scheduling, agenda preparation, and follow-up.
- Provide guidance and oversight for the association’s volunteer-driven committees.
- Act as a central coordinator among committees, volunteers, and staff to ensure seamless collaboration and timely execution of association priorities.
- Oversee the development and implementation of educational offerings.
- Maintain and monitor the association’s project management systems, ensuring tasks, events, and initiatives are up-to-date and progress is tracked effectively.
- Build strong relationships with members, volunteers, and staff and support their success through effective communication, tailored guidance, and leadership.
- Collaborate with the Board and staff to ensure financial oversight of events, programs, and operations, maintaining alignment with the association’s strategic and fiscal goals.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5-7 years’ Association Management experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Executive level leadership experience and political acumen required
- Comprehensive understanding of the real estate industry or equivalent proven real estate experience
- Demonstrated skills in strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving
- Proven experience in meeting management and member relations
- Proven experience in managing budgets, revenue streams, and financial planning
- Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development
- Proven ability to lead and manage staff
- Strong technology background and overall technological adeptness
- The ability to multitask and pivot quickly with the rapidly changing industry
